Under 9 reds triumph in under 9 Mini Soocer County Challenge Cup Final
For the second time this season an Eagles team triumphed in front of a large crowd at the County Ground, beating London Maccabi Lions 2-1. It was tight game but the Eagles team managed by Nick Bendon enjoyed a fine first half with some excellent passing football. After going 2-1 up at the break thay almost succceeded in adding to their lead with another passing move, only to be thwarted by a fine save from the Maccabi goalie.
The weather failed to dampen the enthusiasm of the boys in an excellent game at which Peter Shilton was guest of honour ( the wrinklies will remember him!). A fine achievement and well done to all the boys in the squad.
