Eagles Girls - 07/08 Season
At Letchworth Garden City eagles we are very keen to encourage girls to take part in football. We currently have one girls team who play regular matches in the home Counties Girls League. Girls can and do play in mixed teams up to and including U11s in The Royston Crow Football League.
We have also set up a Girls Football Development Squad for those girls who do not play regular football but would like to take part in training sessions and learn about playing football. In partnership with the Herts FA the GFDS have and will again take part in Football Festivals where the girls play matches against other squads throughout Herts. These Festivals are completely non-competitive and the emphasis is on the fun side of the game.
The coaches Warren Shimell and Terry Morris are FA qualified coaches, 1st Aid trained, have Child Safety certificates and are CRB checked.
The training session will commence again on Saturday September 1st at 1pm-2:30pm.
There is a fee to join for a year.
Players will need suitable clothing and footwear, shinpads and a drink.
